Job Overview

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a Senior Mental Health Specialist to lead our Perinatal Mental Health Services in North Wales. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

The successful candidate will have a good Honours degree in Psychology with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as a post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Key responsibilities include leading a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical guidance and support, and developing innovative solutions to improve patient care.

A strong understanding of perinatal mental health, trauma-informed practice, and compassionate healthcare systems is essential for this role. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not required.

**Estimated Salary:** £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
