P+S Personnel is pleased to be working with a client who is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join their team in Norwich. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing facility, testing complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing products and equipment to ensure they meet the engineering build standards and tolerances are within specification. This role requires the ability to test and diagnose faults on electro-mechanical systems, ensuring the equipment is manufactured to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of the Test Team, collaborating with other departments during production.
  • Test and diagnose faults on electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ensure equipment meets engineering build standards and tolerances.
Requirements:
  • A recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering is ideal.
  • Must be educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
  • Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing.
  • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment and able to follow complex test specifications.
  • Familiarity with Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident, and Cable production techniques.
  • Assembly and testing/repair of PCBs.
  • Report writing and email communications.

This is a pressurised role requiring the ability to work to tight time schedules and meet deadlines without compromising H&S & Quality standards. The salary for this position is approximately £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
