Job Title: Big Data Scientist

Agility Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Big Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Insight & Analytics department, you will play a crucial role in delivering advanced analytics and machine learning models to support our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with our Lead Data Scientist and Head of Insight & Analytics to implement, analyze, and report on predictive and advanced analytics models.
  2. Monitor the performance and maintenance of models in production, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  3. Deliver ad-hoc analytical projects and research as required, providing actionable insights to our stakeholders.
  4. Create and maintain static and interactive performance dashboards for various business stakeholders, showcasing key metrics and trends.
  5. Support the development of new data systems and processes, ensuring they are utilized effectively within the team and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  1. A solid understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, statistical, and predictive modelling.
  2. Knowledge of data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques, with experience in complex querying of databases and data manipulation.
  3. Experience working with advanced analytical/data mining tools, such as IBM SPSS Modeller, R, SAS, or similar.
  4. Proven ability to produce effective analysis with actionable insight, using advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PowerPivot and data cubes.
  5. Flexible and responsive with a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a university education in a relevant field.
  6. Solid coding knowledge, including Python, R, and SQL, with experience in a commercial, transaction-focused environment.
