Job Title: Technical Co-ordinator

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Technical Co-ordinator, where you will be responsible for coordinating external design consultants, obtaining building control approvals, and ensuring the smooth running of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain Technical Drawings and approvals for efficient site starts
  • Minimise risk through provision of timely and high-quality information
  • Brief, manage and drive external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information
  • Prepare the Design Programme and present it at Progression Meetings
  • Ensure all statutory enquiries, sewer connections, and other section agreements are submitted and pursued in a timely manner
  • Oversee NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval
  • Ensure working drawings are in accordance with the approved Planning Scheme and discharge of planning conditions
  • Monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the Development Estimator
  • Monitor and control the Professional Fees budget and update fee reports on a monthly basis
  • Oversee preparation of Brochure Plans, Conveyance Plans, and Sales Area drawings
  • Attend site progress meetings and carry out site inspections
  • Attend meetings at various stages of projects
  • Liaise and coordinate other parties, both internal and external
  • Attend Subcontractor interviews
  • Respond to site queries and resolve Technical/Construction problems
  • Issue drawings and information for construction purposes

Requirements:

  • Individual who is qualified as a Civil/Building Engineer or at a Construction-related degree level or HNC/HND in a built environment subject with relevant experience
  • Good technical knowledge of both house and flat construction, together with a degree of flair for design
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, Party Wall Awards, and associated legislation connected with the construction industry
  • Ability to get on with people together with communication, meeting, and management skills essential in dealing with multi-disciplined teams
  • Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
