Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Addictions Support Worker to join our team at Ailsa Hospital, working closely with the NHS Community Drug and Alcohol Service (START).

Key Responsibilities:

You will work with service users experiencing problematic substance use and co-existing mental health difficulties, providing support and guidance to enhance their well-being.

You will be required to work flexibly across South Ayrshire, meeting service demand and collaborating with other agencies to deliver brief treatment interventions, injecting equipment programs, and monitoring addiction-related prescriptions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a professional qualification at Higher National Certificate level or equivalent experience in a relevant area, such as health, social care, or drug and alcohol studies.

You will possess excellent communication and information technology skills, a good understanding of drug and alcohol use, and a genuine desire to work with service users.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week.
