Job Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Addictions Support Worker to enhance our existing services at Ailsa Hospital. The successful candidate will work with service users who experience problematic substance use with co-existing mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver brief treatment interventions and support the overall Alcohol and Drugs Service.
  2. Assist with and deliver injecting equipment programme (IEP), backpacking, and monitoring addiction-related prescriptions.
  3. Liaise closely with other Alcohol and Drug agencies and assist in the collation and presentation of statistical information and routine client data.

Requirements

It is essential to have a professional qualification at Higher National Certificate level, or equivalent experience, in a relevant area, e.g. health, social care or drug and alcohol studies. Experience of working in a community setting is desirable.

Working Hours and Requirements

2 posts - 37 hours per week. A UK driving licence and car ownership are essential for this role.
