Support Teacher for SEN Students

Academics Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team in South Ockendon, Essex. As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other specialists to provide support to children with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties.
Job Description- Work alongside children with various SEN needs, including Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Provide emotional and academic support to students with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and educational growth.
- A degree or certificate in a related field (e.g., special education, psychology, teaching).
- Good understanding of Special Education Needs principles and practices.
- Experience working with children with SEN or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with SEN. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on young people's lives.
