Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and proactive SEN Administration Officer to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school.

This is a permanent position that requires someone who is passionate about supporting students with SEN and has a strong commitment to delivering excellent administrative services.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our teachers, the SEND team, and Headteacher, as well as managing visitor records, handling enquiries, and maintaining pupil data.

Your strong communication skills and ability to work closely with professionals will enable you to provide exceptional support to our staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage visitor records, providing hospitality and ensuring sign-in/out records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handle general and specific enquiries from staff, parents, and visitors with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to our teachers, the SEND team, and Headteacher, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Update and maintain pupil data, including SEND records and SIMS database.
  • Manage medical and medication registers, ensuring accuracy and availability.
  • Assist the SENCo in SEND assessments, EHCP documentation, annual reviews, and presentation of data for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate school visits, organise photography sessions, and maintain relevant communications and responses.
Requirements
  • A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a leading UK university.
  • Previous experience working with children and SEND support.
  • Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and confidence in handling behaviour-related situations.
  • Proficiency in managing data and a detail-oriented mindset.
