Job Title: EYFS Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate EYFS Teacher to join our team at a school in Great Harwood, Lancashire.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting the development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a temporary position, covering a sickness for the Autumn 2 Term.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with children to ensure their engagement with the curriculum and their learning.
  • Promote the Christian ethos in the classroom and across the school.
  • Provide a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children are happy and positive.
  • Support children and families during their transition to Primary School.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and continuous provision to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils, adhering to the school's policies and participating in regular safeguarding training.
  • Assess and record children's progress to provide feedback to children, parents, and SLT.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS Framework and Development Matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Understanding of child development.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
