Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate KS1 Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with children, promoting the Christian ethos, and delivering engaging lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
  • Promote the Christian ethos in your classroom and across the school.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and continuous provision, so that children can achieve their full potential.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
  • Work with Teaching Assistants, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring you adopt school's policies and participate in regular safeguarding training.
  • Ensure children are assessed and progress is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents, and SLT.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
  • Have an excellent understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Understand child development.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding.
