Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher to join our team at a school in Great Harwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Year 2 students and promoting the Christian ethos in the classroom and across the school.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
  2. Promote the Christian ethos in your classroom and across the school.
  3. Have a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children are happy and positive.
  4. Plan and deliver engaging lessons and continuous provision, so that children can achieve their full potential.
  5. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
  6. Work with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals e.g. SENCO, educational psychologists to support pupil development.
  7. Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  8. Be committed to the safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring you adopt school's policies and participate in regular safeguarding training.
  9. Ensure children are assessed and progress is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents and SLT.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
  2. Have an excellent understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Have effective behaviour management strategies.
  5. Understand child development.
  6. Enhanced DBS certificate.
  7. Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  8. Excellent understanding of safeguarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
