About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist Leader, you will play a key role in providing leadership and direction to our pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outpatient pharmacy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the efficient and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and safety.
  • Contribute to the optimisation and development of the outpatient pharmacy, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and patient safety.
  • Participate in improvement audits and investigations, implementing identified service improvements as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and deputise in their absence when required.
  • Be the responsible pharmacist as per GPhC regulations when required.
  • Contribute to the efficient management and administration of the business.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Good standard of education to G.C.S.E level, including English and Maths.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desirable Criteria

  • To be working towards or hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or relevant GPhC accredited Training Programme equivalent to Level 2.
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy setting.
  • Previous clinical and administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in an NHS or other healthcare setting.
