About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing leadership and direction to our pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outpatient pharmacy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the efficient and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and safety.
  • Contribute to the optimisation and development of the outpatient pharmacy.
  • Participate in improvement audits and investigations, implementing identified service improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and deputise in their absence.
  • Be responsible for GPhC regulations as required.
  • Contribute to the efficient management and administration of the business.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Good standard of education to G.C.S.E level, including English & Maths.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desirable Criteria

  • Working towards or holding an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or relevant GPhC accredited Training Programme equivalent to Level 2.
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy setting.
  • Previous clinical and administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in the NHS or other healthcare setting.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
