About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Groundskeeper to join our Greenkeeping and Estates team at Marriott Hanbury Manor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the exceptional standards of our championship golf course and surrounding parkland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the golf course and surrounding parkland, ensuring a high standard of presentation at all times.
  • Perform a range of tasks including lawn mowing, edging, raking leaves, and other lawn maintenance functions.
  • Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of flower beds, baskets, and boxes, including watering, removing weeds, trimming, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans.
  • Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks, holes, and making other repairs.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Self-motivated, a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • At least 1-2 years' previous experience in a broadly similar position, although we would consider a newly qualified individual with a strong desire to develop their career.
  • NVQ level 2 in sports turf or a willingness to learn.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 Spraying qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
  • A flexible approach to work, including some weekends.
  • Ability to produce a high standard of work as part of a team or alone.
  • Desire to further their skills, training, and experiences in the turfgrass industry.
