Senior Groundskeeper Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Groundskeeper to join our Greenkeeping and Estates team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. As a Senior Groundskeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the exceptional standards of our championship golf course and estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the property grounds, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Maintain lawns, flower beds, and other grounds features through regular mowing, edging, raking, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Operate tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of grounds equipment and features.
  • Work closely with the Head Greenkeeper and team to achieve exceptional standards of course maintenance and presentation.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position, or willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • NVQ level 2 in sports turf or equivalent qualification.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying qualifications desirable.
  • Flexible approach to work, including weekends.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work as part of a team or alone.
