Senior Groundskeeper Job Description

At Marriott International, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Groundskeeper to join our Greenkeeping and Estates team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of our championship golf course and estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the property grounds, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Perform lawn maintenance functions, including mowing, edging, and raking leaves.
  • Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of flower beds, baskets, and boxes, including watering, removing weeds, and trimming.
  • Remove and bag trash from exterior trash cans and maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position or willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • NVQ level 2 in sports turf or willingness to learn.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying qualifications desirable.
  • Flexible approach to work, including weekends.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work as part of a team or alone.
