Senior Groundskeeper Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Groundskeeper to join our Greenkeeping and Estates team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of turfgrass quality and appearance on our championship golf course.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the golf course, including lawns, flower beds, and other grounds features.
  • Operate tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, edging, and raking leaves.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course for tournaments and events.
  • Work closely with the Head Greenkeeper and other team members to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a broadly similar position.
  • NVQ level 2 in sports turf or equivalent qualification.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying qualifications desirable.
  • Ability to work a rota system, including weekends.
