Our Client, Gloucestershire Council, is a leading public sector organisation seeking a skilled Children's Social Worker to join their MASH Team.

We offer an attractive pay rate of £35 per hour for this role.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact in their community and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • To undertake thorough assessments and section 47 enquiries to identify levels and types of risk or need based on documented evidence.
  • To record and analyse information gathered during the assessment process in line with policies and best practice.
  • To engage with children, their carers and families to understand their circumstances, wishes and feelings, and form conclusions which direct longer-term interventions focused on the best interests of the child.
  • To contribute to the process of taking and recording children's contacts and referrals, achieving a full understanding of the issues being referred, the relative urgency, the level of risk or need and the action needed in individual cases.

This role requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

Requirements
  • A Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • A Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent).
  • Possession of a valid DBS check.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Flexible working arrangements to accommodate varying needs and requirements.
