Reader/Senior Lecturer in Construction Materials and Technology
About the Role:We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brunel University London. The successful candidate will be a leading expert in construction materials and technology, with a strong research profile and a passion for teaching and student supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct high-quality research in construction materials and technology, with a focus on sustainability, resilience, and digital manufacturing.
- Teach and supervise students at all levels, including undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and manage courses in construction materials and technology, ensuring excellent student experience and outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders, including industry partners and external organizations, to promote the department's research and teaching activities.
- Contribute to the development of the department's research strategy and goals.
- PhD in Civil Engineering, Materials Science and/or Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Established research profile, with a strong track record of publications and research income generation.
- Excellent teaching and student supervision skills, with a focus on student satisfaction and outcomes.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and promote the department's research and teaching activities.
- Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or a similar professional body is highly desirable.
