About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Early Help Practitioner to join our Youth Justice Service team on the Turnaround Programme. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of at-risk youth by preventing them from entering the youth justice system.

As an Early Help Practitioner, you will play a key role in addressing the underlying issues that lead to potential criminal behaviour and promoting positive outcomes for young people. Your work will directly contribute to reducing youth crime, leading to safer communities and brighter futures.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a YOT/Youth Justice Service and a strong understanding of risk factors and intervention strategies for at-risk youth. They will be empathetic and compassionate, with strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct assessments to identify young people at risk of offending, utilising screening tools and collaborating with schools, social services, and community organisations.
  2. Collaborate with community organisations to provide youth with support, opportunities, and positive activities to reduce offending risk.
  3. Educate youth on the consequences of criminal behaviour and the benefits of a positive path, raising awareness within the community about early intervention's impact.
