About the Position

We're seeking an experienced Energy Market Analyst to join our EMEA Solutions team. As a subject matter expert in European energy markets, you'll work closely with our customers to deliver energy market models and implement our PLEXOS software.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading projects to deliver energy market models and implement PLEXOS software
  • Supporting business development by generating thought leadership and providing domain and technical expertise
  • Performing project implementation functions, including requirements gathering, model design, and model calibration
  • Providing consultation on how customers can use PLEXOS as a tool to enable strategic changes within their organization
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of electricity markets, power trading, or electrical systems planning and operations
  • Experience in energy market supply and demand modeling via optimization/unit commitment (preferably via commercial tools such as PLEXOS, BID3, Antaras, SDDP, PROMOD, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • A tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, Operations Research, or a similar degree
  • 3-4 years' experience in energy markets with a strong understanding of energy economics and market fundamentals, energy systems operation, and/or engineering
