We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aurora Severnside, a bespoke school for students with SEMH needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential in a caring and safe environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a warm and supportive relationship with students to promote a sense of safety and well-being.
  • Encouraging independence and personal development in students, while maintaining high expectations of behavior at all times.
  • Contributing to the provision of high-quality educational activities and experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Supporting the Class Teacher in the day-to-day running of the class, including responding to the varying and changing needs of the school.
  • Promoting students' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, physical development, and spiritual well-being.

Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures, as well as a commitment to treating each student as an individual. Essential qualifications include a GCSE (or equivalent) pass in Maths and English. Previous experience is not essential, but the ability and desire to build a professional and trusted relationship with our young people are crucial.
