Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and ensuring students are focused on the main task.

About the Role:

  • Establish authentic relationships and trust with students.
  • Collaborate with class teaching in supporting students' progress.
  • Work with students in groups or 1:1 setting to check understanding of learning.
  • Use school behaviour policy to reinforce positive behaviour and classroom routine.
  • Communicate tasks clearly so that students of all abilities can understand.
  • Assist with classroom and material preparation, clearing up after lessons and general admin tasks.

Requirements:

  • Caring and engaging.
  • Ability to calmly deal with stressful situations.
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment/with children (not essential).
  • Proactive in supporting class teacher.

Working Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday (part time available)

Location: Gloucester

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers.
