About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer/Associate Paediatric Audiologist. The successful candidate will assist in paediatric audiology assessments and perform a variety of tasks, including carrying out hearing aid repairs, ordering stock, and responding to patient queries and correspondence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in paediatric audiology assessments
  • Carry out hearing aid repairs
  • Order stock and manage inventory
  • Respond to patient queries and correspondence

Person Specification

  • Essential qualifications: oNVQ level 4 in Customer Care, Healthcare Science or Information Technology, or equivalent
  • Desirable qualifications: 2 A levels in science/math/IT or similar, or equivalent

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good command of English both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team

Specific Requirements

  • Effective IT skills including experience of Microsoft Office and Audiology software systems
  • Highly developed skills where accuracy is important, such as taking ear impressions, use of probe tube microphone measurements
