Mental Health Treatment Team Lead

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced social worker to lead our mental health treatment team at Essex County Council's Adult Social Care services. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to vulnerable adults, demonstrating good practice in complex situations.
This role requires significant experience in social work, with the ability to chair meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals. Excellent communication skills are essential to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality social care services, contributing to change management, and aligning with ECC's transformation goals and Key Performance Indicators under the Section 75 partnership agreement.
This exciting opportunity allows you to join our Partnership organisation promoting the standards for Employers of Social Work, working at the forefront of our community mental health treatment teams, providing EPUT's secondary mental health services.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration. Bring evidence of ongoing professional development and adherence to current professional standards.
- In-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages.
- Able to make clear decisions, highlight potential risks, and limit associated intervention.
This role requires a driving licence and car - or alternative mobility arrangements - due to the need to travel around Essex and beyond.
