Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team. As a Senior Radiographer, you will lead on the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services, undertaking a wide range of radiographic examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiological procedures as required, in accordance with department protocols and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IRMER).
  • Undertake specialist examinations within scope of practice.

Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide clinical leadership within a specialist field in Diagnostic Imaging, including supervision of staff within the department.
  • Ensure work is carried out efficiently and to agreed working practices and protocols.
  • Represent the department at meetings and ensure actions are followed through and feedback provided to the department.

Health and Safety:

  • Monitor and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Work alongside the Radiation Protection Supervisor to assist in monitoring, review, development and maintenance of systems of work that ensure radiation exposure is restricted.

Quality and Governance:

  • Co-ordinate and participate in audits and the QA programme.
  • Review policies, procedures and protocols and make recommendations regarding their content and application within area of responsibility.
