Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To be integral to the delivery of technical projects, producing high-quality deliverables and working both independently and as part of a team.
  • To play a fundamental role in the development of other team members.
  • To use problem-solving skills to address challenging radioactive waste management issues.
  • To have knowledge of the radioactive waste management lifecycle and be able to align approaches across the project and applicable national policies and legislation.
  • To develop an open environment of continuous improvement of project/programme including performing environmental permitting and assessment requirements (BPM).
  • To maintain a strong customer focus and be able to maintain and develop client relationships.
  • To effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Significant proven experience in radioactive waste management with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
  • The ability to prioritise based on business needs and lead on certain projects.
