Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Administrator to join our team at Voscur in Bristol. As a key member of our Board, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our charity.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Bristol and/or lived experience of seeking sanctuary. They will possess excellent budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and simply to trustees.

You will be responsible for attending in-person Board meetings every three months, preparing financial reports, advising the Board on its financial responsibilities, and overseeing the BCoS bank account. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Manager and Board to prepare the annual budget and scrutinize annual accounts for submission to the Charity Commission.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £**18,000-22,000 per annum**, depending on experience, as well as the opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team. You will also have the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in Bristol.

Requirements
  1. A strong interest in supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Bristol and/or lived experience of seeking sanctuary.
  2. Experience of budgeting, financial management, and compliance.
  3. An ability to present financial information clearly and simply to trustees.
  4. Keen analytical and forecasting skills.
