South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Nurse to join their Tees Specialist Palliative Care team.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Specialist Nurse, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist palliative care knowledge and support to patients, carers, and health professionals.
Key duties include:
- Providing high-quality specialist palliative care and advice to patients, carers, and professionals.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver a demanding but rewarding service.
- Participating in leadership development and quality improvement programs.
About the Role
As a Specialist Nurse, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership and quality improvement skills through the Trust's leadership development program.
This program includes:
- Exploring leadership within the NHS.
- Promoting Trust values and behaviours.
- Developing leadership effectiveness and skills.
- Practitioner level quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead, and complete quality improvement within your role.
Person Specification
Applicants should possess:
- Palliative care symptom control/management expertise.
- Extensive knowledge of oncology therapies and treatments.
Qualifications and Training
A successful candidate will hold:
- A Registered Nurse Level 1 qualification.
- Specialist training to master's level.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- In-depth knowledge of cancer and specialist palliative care.
- Experience in oncology/palliative care at a senior level.
