">The TAS Units currently provide these specialist patient treatments from eight units based within NHS Trusts across England.
">Salary
">£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
">Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with relevant experience in a clinical area, such as Haematology, Neurology, Acute Medicine/Surgery, ICU/CCU or Haemodialysis/Apheresis.
">As the Lead Nurse, you will manage and be the clinical leader within a defined area for the provision of safe Therapeutic Apheresis Services.
">You will be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
">You will also be responsible for the clinical standards of the nursing team, ensuring best practice and clinical effectiveness are achieved within the policy frameworks.
">Main Duties:

- Manage and lead the team within a defined area for the provision of the safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis Service (TAS).">
- Be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.">
- Be responsible for the clinical standards of the nursing team, ensuring best practice and clinical effectiveness are achieved within the policy frameworks.">
- Be a clinical expert and a source of clinical knowledge and expertise for advice and direction.">
- Communicate effectively with donors on all issues of donation using tact and diplomacy when discussing complex issues.">

About You
">To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

- Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in clinical practice at strategic level.">
- Experience of initiating and supporting the professional development of others and yourself.">
- Understanding of the principles of clinical effectiveness and best practice.">
- Demonstrated ability to initiate changes to service provisions and practices to ensure high standards of clinical care.">
- Knowledge of clinical audit and research principles.">
- Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages.">
Qualifications and Training
">You must possess:
">- ">
- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.">
- Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience gained working at senior nurse level for a considerable amount of time, showing evidence of career progression in a specialist field.">
- Leadership and/or management training or experience equivalent to degree/Diploma level.">
- Teaching/assessment qualification, e.g. ENB, Mentorship in Practice, NVQ A1/A2.">
- Evidence of recent post-registration educational learning.">
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).">
