About the Role
The Senior Social Work Practitioner will play a key part in upholding the rights of individuals and ensuring that the Mental Capacity Act is applied effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to lead and manage a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Line manage and supervise staff to ensure high-quality practice and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the DoLS team and provide expertise in Mental Capacity law.
- Manage the team in the absence of the team leader and work on a duty rota to deal with enquiries.
- Complete DoLS authorisations and ensure timely statutory responsibilities are met.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They will also have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
