Job Overview

The Youth Work Unit seeks a skilled Groupwork Practitioner to lead group work programmes for young women aged 16-18 and 18-25 with lived experience of mental health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and evaluating programme effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging group work programmes that cater to the diverse needs of young women.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure programme goals are achieved and adapted as needed.
  • Evaluate programme success and provide recommendations for improvement.


Requirements:
  • Prior experience in facilitating group work supporting young women with mental health challenges is essential.
  • A relevant qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work regular evenings is required.
  • Commitment to working within Getaway Girls values and young women-centred strength-based approach is necessary.


Position Details:
  • Job Title: Groupwork Practitioner.
  • Hours: 19.5 hours per week.
  • Estimated Annual Salary: £29,514 (pro rata).
  • Funding: The position is initially funded until March 2027.
