Early Years Practitioner Job Specification:

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with young children with special educational needs (SEN) and be passionate about delivering high-quality care and education.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the lead teacher to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to succeed.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to children with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and external professionals to ensure seamless support and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and provide regular updates to parents and carers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant childcare qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of early years frameworks, child development, and SEN best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • DBS check required.

Salary and Benefits:
