About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Line Database Administrator to join our Technology team at the Cumberland Building Society.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assisting with database-related services, including incident management, problem management, and change implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line support on Technology Infrastructure systems, ensuring agreed SLAs are met.
  • Identify, propose, and document continuous improvement of hardware and software and processes within the department.
  • Ensure disaster preparedness, secure backup and recovery methods to protect against system disruptions.
  • Recommend improvements or alternative technologies to better meet business needs.
  • Contribute towards the day-to-day support and administration of the databases and associated environments.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with experience in database technologies and administration, including Oracle 19c. Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring tools and standards is also essential.
