Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our dynamic team in Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Liaison and Diversion and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals through police custody, court, and up to prison.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support individuals within court and custody settings, engaging with families and friends to gain a holistic understanding of their circumstances and facilitating access to support services.
  • Provide individualised support with practical problems or difficulties affecting health and wellbeing, promoting rights and responsibilities, and building a rapport while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Work closely with referring agencies within the custody suite, court, and probation, acting as a single point of contact for health and providing written and verbal information to inform disposal.
  • Organise and manage own time according to delegated workload, working autonomously while maintaining effective communication with the team.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and relevant health-related training to diploma level.
  • Minimum of 12-18 months of relevant experience at band 2/3 level.
  • Full driving license and car owner.
