Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team at Holmes Chapel Health Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and administrative support.

About Us

Holmes Chapel Health Centre is a rural practice serving 12,500 patients with a dedicated team of GP Partners, salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and Nursing Team members. Our state-of-the-art surgery offers free car parking, competitive salary, and a range of benefits including Simply Health's Employee Assisted Health Programme after two years of service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and respond to queries in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, booking appointments, and handling patient registrations
  • Assist clinicians with administrative tasks, such as printing blood forms and processing medical records
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Practical experience working with the general public in a face-to-face environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EMIS web
Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and simply health's employee assisted health programme.
