About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Custody Nurse to join our dynamic team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in police custody, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in police custody, including assessing fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, referring onwards for more serious conditions as necessary.
  • Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in police custody, recording and documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence as required.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organization, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Administer medications through Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and Patient Treatment Protocols (PTPs).
