Custody Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Custody Nurse to join our dynamic team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in custody, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in custody, assessing their fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
- Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, taking appropriate actions and referring onwards for more serious conditions.
- Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in police care, recording and documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence as required.
- Support the clinical governance agenda of the organization, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Administer medications through Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and Patient Treatment Protocols (PTPs).
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered nurse.
- Confident and able to make quick decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
