Employee Relations Specialist

Location: Hybrid Poole - at least 3 days a week in the office
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Services team in Poole. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all matters related to employee relations, including handling disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and workplace investigations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and support to managers and leaders on all aspects of employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Conduct workplace investigations and produce investigation reports.
- Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that employee relations policies and procedures are aligned with business objectives.
- Provide coaching and training to managers and employees on employee relations best practices.
- Manage and resolve complex or escalated employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and workplace disputes.
- Advise and support managers on performance management processes, including appraisals, capability assessments, and improvement plans.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution techniques and promote a culture of open communication.
- Capture and record detailed data, analyze the insights to highlight business opportunities through reports and recommendations.
- Proven experience in a people management or Employee Relations role in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience in handling complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
- Experience in conducting workplace investigations and producing investigation reports.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- Coaching skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload and prioritize.
- Maintains HR knowledge and practice through continuous professional development.
- A CIPD (Level 7) qualification or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not required.
