Employee Relations Specialist

Location: Hybrid Poole - at least 3 days a week in the office
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Services team in Poole. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all matters related to employee relations, including handling disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and workplace investigations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and support to managers and leaders on all aspects of employee relations, including employment law, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
- Conduct workplace investigations and produce investigation reports.
- Develop and implement effective people practices and policies to enhance employee experience and engagement.
- Work closely with the People Services team to provide tailored support to employees and managers.
- Manage and resolve complex or escalated employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and workplace disputes.
- Advise and support managers on performance management processes, including appraisals, capability assessments, and improvement plans.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution techniques and promote a culture of open communication.
- Capture and record detailed data, analyze insights, and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Proven experience in a people management or Employee Relations role in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience in handling complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
- Experience in conducting workplace investigations and producing investigation reports.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- Coaching skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload and prioritize.
