ROLE SUMMARY

The Technical Service Controller will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by reviewing predictive indicators and optimizing resources to meet customer needs. This role will involve maintaining desired service business performance, working with the wider control team to review and plan field engineer workload, and delivering an outstanding level of service to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instill a "Safety first" culture
  • Understand and respond to customer requests
  • Plan all jobs to maximize engineer productivity
  • Manage and control job progress at every stage
  • Liaise fully to ensure the job is resolved to the mutual benefit of DGEMC and our external customer
  • Keep all systems up to date at all stages with accurate job information
  • Provide feedback to our clients to ensure best-in-class service delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a similar industry environment desirable
  • Engineering qualification (likely to be gained in a Mechanical, Automotive, or Construction Plant environment, City & Guilds or NVQ preferred) achieved through a recognized formal training program
  • Preferably competent in the use of telematics as a diagnostic tool
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Committed to delivering high standards of customer service
  • Ability to prioritize own work and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A strong desire to deliver service excellence
