Professional Interpreter and Translator for Multilingual Communications

We are seeking a reliable and skilled freelance interpreter and translator to join our team at Language Empire.

As a key member of our team, you will work with clients across various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English and another language, with experience in providing high-quality interpreting and translation services.

The role involves listening to, understanding, and memorizing content in the source language, then reproducing it into the target language with 100% accuracy.

You will interpret for people using legal, health, and local government services, check the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence, and liaise between the service user and service provider.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.

As a self-employed interpreter and translator, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home and enjoy ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team.

Once your registration has been approved, you will be contacted for any job opportunities in and around your locality.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
