Lead Operational Risk Manager

An exciting opportunity to work with project teams to establish project scope and identify information gaps for cost estimation and risk management.

You will challenge available detail, obtain missing information, develop assumptions, track progress and manage governance reviews. Effective communication and stakeholder liaison are essential in this role.

We are looking for a skilled professional with project risk management experience, preferably in the utilities industry. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of project management principles or the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be able to interpret technical and cost information, possess strong analytical and technical data skills, and hold a full UK car driving licence. Construction experience and knowledge are also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish project scope and identify information gaps for project cost estimation and risk management
  • Challenge available detail, obtain missing information, and develop assumptions
  • Track progress and manage governance reviews
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks effectively

Requirements:

  • Project risk management experience (utilities industry ideal)
  • Basic understanding of project management principles or project lifecycle
  • Ability to interpret technical and cost information
  • Full UK car driving licence
  • Sound analytical and technical data skills
  • Construction experience and knowledge
