Overview

South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading healthcare providers in the region, known for its exceptional patient care and innovative approach to service delivery.

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our Support Services Division as a key member of our Pathology Services team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Operational Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the pathology service provided by Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS).

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional to make a real impact on the delivery of high-quality patient services.

About the Role

The Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient service is provided to SWFT patients by CWPS in all areas of Pathology.

This will involve working closely with the Clinical Operational Manager to develop and implement operational strategies that meet the needs of our patients and staff.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the governance arrangements within the service, including audit, complaints, incident, risk, and health and safety.

This role requires a strong understanding of national NHS policy and targets, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • A relevant 1st degree or equivalent qualification
  • Evidence of continuing personal development
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant area

Desirable criteria include budget management experience, experience of developing business cases, and operational management experience.
