Job Overview

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join their prestigious client in Yeovil. This 6-month contract role offers the possibility of extension and provides an excellent opportunity to work on strategic business partnerships, improve product margins, and drive working capital improvements.

About the Role
  • Assist the Yeovil ISC Finance Lead in developing a strategic partnership with the Yeovil ISC Site Leadership Team.
  • Work closely with the Yeovil ISC Finance Lead to review and analyze potential cost reduction initiatives, focusing on manufacturing and procurement environments.
  • Provide data and analysis to support site inventory and working capital improvements by collaborating with SIOP, Logistics, and Procurement teams.
  • Support the implementation of a real-time data dashboard at the Yeovil site, covering key ISC metrics.
Responsibilities
  1. Work with the Yeovil Site ISC Leadership Team to ensure annual operating plans and forecasts are robust, aligned with Site SIOP process, and understood by the local ISC Team.
  2. Investigate and present P&L variances to monthly financial results provided by the supporting Regional Finance Team (RFC).
  3. Provide value-added support to the site HOS process, including delegated attendance at all daily Tier 3 meetings as required.
  4. Assist in the annual standard cost revision exercise, inventory re-valuation, and standard maintenance.
  5. Review and interpret analyses of overhead burden, production settlement, purchase price, and scrap variances prepared by the supporting Regional Finance Team (RFC).
  6. Provide relevant information necessary to support the site SIOP process.
  7. Present functional cost information as prepared by the supporting Regional Finance Team (RFC).
  8. Implement an operating system that ties and links this information with Yeovil ISC business routines, including the site cost council.
  9. Work with the Yeovil ISC Finance Lead to establish an efficient and robust working operating system with the relevant Regional Finance Team (RFC).
Requirements
  • Proven experience and financial skills in analysis, planning, forecasting, and accounting.
  • Strong communication skills covering document preparation and verbal presentation.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented and self-starter, assuming ownership and providing staff leadership while working independently with remote supervision.
  • Build effective working relationships across business functions, both locally and regionally.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
