We are seeking an experienced psychometrician to join our Global Learning team as a Psychometrics & Standards Manager. This role will play a vital part in informing our approach to standard setting across our qualifications and to the review and monitoring of assessment outcomes and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct item and test analysis, standard setting, item bank design and analysis, and other psychometric activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our tests.
- Collaborate with content developers to develop tests that are valid, reliable, and fair, and to produce technical documents and reports on test performance.
- Develop and maintain a plan to ensure that test and examination services meet regulatory requirements and are defensible.
- Provide internal and external training on psychometrics and assessment, and contribute to the development of industry standards and best practices.
- Manage people and work through direct and/or matrix arrangements to achieve team goals and objectives.
- A degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related subject.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in psychometrics, ideally in an educational institution, awarding organization, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce reports and deliver presentations to influence decision making.
- Experience of managing people in a line management or matrix structure, with strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for the development and delivery of valid, reliable, and fair qualifications.
- A clear communicator who can work across a range of teams with different drivers, and a demonstrable understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance culture.
- Adaptable and resilient, with a strong ethical standards and commitment to promoting integrity in financial services.
- A competitive remuneration package, including a 7.5% company pension contribution and a travel allowance of £2,500 per annum.
- Hybrid working arrangements, with a Wellness Allowance of up to £30 a month.
- 23 days full-time equivalent annual leave, plus three additional days between Christmas and New Year.
- Life insurance and income protection insurance.
