Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Standards Coordinator to join our team at the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Corporate Chartered Status (CCS) Scheme requirements are met, maintaining and reviewing CCS Scheme procedures and processes, and leading on the maintenance, analysis, and accurate data reporting related to the CCS Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure CCS Scheme requirements are met at point of assessment and on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain and review CCS Scheme procedures and processes to ensure they are relevant and up to date.
  • Lead on the maintenance, analysis, and accurate data reporting related to the CCS Scheme.
  • Respond to complaints received concerning the CCS Scheme.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on the CCS Scheme, including responding to complex queries both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing function to provide SME on the CCS Scheme.
  • Support and coordinate the production of relevant CCS materials, including networking events, best practice guides, webinars, and CCS newsletters.
  • Support the CCS best practice.
  • Assist in the production and implementation of professional standards strategies.
  • Maintain an accurate database of all Professional Standards content (internal and external) across the CII and PFS.
  • Collaborate with Communications, Policy and Public Affairs, Customer Learning, and Customer Insight to implement a cohesive professional standards strategy.
  • Support the production of Professional Standards content for members.
  • Support the Professional Standards Committee.
  • Assist in the production of an annual Professional Standards Report.
  • Act as SME for professional standards internally and externally and act as an ambassador for the highest professional standards.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Continuing Professional Development team as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A*- C or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Willingness and ability to learn on the job.
  • Reliable and hardworking with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Team player with a flexible, professional attitude.
  • A self-starter able to work independently while supporting the team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience at a professional membership or regulatory body.
  • Experience in processing and reviewing data.
