Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce Distributed Generation Systems Engineering in Winsford. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide flexible, robust, efficient, and cost-effective engineering support to our existing products as part of an integrated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct failure diagnosis, analysis, and sentencing of problems affecting in-service equipment, including equipment testing as required.
- Provide technical support services for our Defence customers, both in the UK and overseas.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop and implement new power system technologies and products for our customers.
- Interact with and support various business functions engaged in growing our business, including Project Management and Sales/Marketing.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree with proven experience in a mechanical engineering role and wide-ranging practical experience.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to power generation and distribution equipment.
- Competence with using Autodesk CAD software packages is preferential but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well within the Engineering team and build strong relationships with our customers and suppliers.
- Adaptable, flexible, and have a drive to acquire new skills.
