Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the Rochdale area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing vacuum tanker and material handling equipment at our depot and various customer sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with an assortment of own designed and built vacuum tankers and material handling equipment
  • Managing own work in progress
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
  • Being an active team player
  • Sustaining the company's prestigious reputation
  • Traveling to sites around the UK

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualified in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance or similar
  • Preferably served a full apprenticeship, but not essential
  • Experienced Plant Fitter, FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, Crane or Hiab technician, or similar industry
  • Experience in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, 12 and 24-volt electrics is advantageous
  • Experience of working in heavy or industrial engineering is preferred
  • Hold a full UK driving Licence
