We are seeking an exceptional Analytics Engineer to join our team at Trailmix Ltd, a leading game development company. With a passion for data-driven decision making and a strong background in analytics engineering, you will play a key role in driving business growth and informing product strategies.

About the Role

As an Analytics Engineer at Trailmix, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust and scalable data models that drive efficiencies and empower impactful analyses. Your technical expertise will help translate business needs into actionable insights, enabling data analysts and scientists to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and finance teams to develop data solutions that meet business needs;
  • Design and develop new data ingestion pipelines as requirements emerge;
  • Implement high-performance, scalable, and cost-optimized data models that enable efficient analysis;
  • Mentor others on efficient query design and execution;
  • Develop and configure dashboards and reports in Tableau to facilitate stakeholder self-service;
  • Leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience;
  • 3+ years of work experience in data/analytics engineering;
  • Advanced SQL skills;
  • Experience with DBT or another transformation tool;
  • Intermediate level proficiency in one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala, etc.);
  • Past experience with data modeling and ETL;
  • Familiarity with developing/building within a BI tool (Looker, Mode, Tableau, etc.);
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consumer-facing app or game industry experience;
  • Past experience with developing dashboards with Tableau;
  • Cloud-native Data Warehouse, BigQuery experience.
